Do I need a partner?

We offer lessons for singles and couples alike. Whatever your situation, one of our well-trained professional instructors will guide you.

What is a private lesson?

These lessons are 45 minute sessions and are tailored to your personal needs. Learning at your own pace, will provide you with optimum results. This is the fasted and most effective way to learn to dance.

What are Group Classes?

The Group classes are set up in a comfortable informal group setting where you learn how to dance with other people at your own level. Group classes are included in all private lesson packages.

Can I focus on 1-2 dances at a time?

All of the dances at our Studio are interrelated; it is just as easy to learn 3 -4 dances as it is to learn 1-2. In most dance situations, you will need to know a variety of steps in a multitude of dances.

How should I dress for my lesson?

Comfort and class is what we encourage. Comfortable leather soled shoes dance best on our ballroom floor. Any types of sling-backs, tennis shoes or boots are discouraged.

What are Weekly Practice Parties?

Meet and dance with other members of all levels from the ballroom community. Develop your leading and following skills in a practical environment with professionals available to trouble shoot. Weekly parties are included in all private lesson packages. FREE refreshments, music and fun.

What are Monthly Guest Parties?

Studio members may bring their family, friends and acquaintances to this party. When the guests sign up and take their guest lessons, the studio member earns a free lesson. FREE refreshments, music, and fun.

Where will I use this style of dancing?

Dance Motion Studios teaches a style of dance can be used in any social situation. Although many students come initially to learn for a special occasion, for example, a wedding, cruise, bar mitzvah, Black and White ball, etc., they eventually stay with us because they find they like to dance in their personal lives. We also provide practice parties for your convenience.  So, take your "first step" with our complimentary special.
